Facefinder is operated by Emil Arnold Media Ltd. (Igouemenitsas 5, 6037 Larnaca, Cyprus), the data controller. Facefinder is a reverse face-search service that lets you find where a face appears across publicly available web pages. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Facefinder you agree to this policy.

The short versionThe photo you upload is used only to run your search and is deleted within 24 hours. We index faces from public web pages only. We never sell your data, and we never post your search to any public profile.

1. Information we process

Your search photo. The image you upload to run a search. It is sent to our face-search provider, used to find matches, and deleted within 24 hours.
Search results. Links and thumbnails to public web pages where a similar face appears. These come from publicly available sources.
Account & usage data. An anonymous account identifier, your credit balance and search history, and basic technical data (device, browser, approximate region) needed to run and secure the service.
Payment data. Payments are handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.

2. How we use it

To run your face search and return results.
To provide and bill the service (credits, subscriptions).
To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

3. Public images only

Facefinder searches faces that are indexed from publicly available web pages. We do not access private accounts, and we do not store sensitive personal data beyond what is needed to operate the service. Our index is trained not to include images of children.

4. Retention & deletion

Your uploaded search photo is deleted within 24 hours. Account and transaction records are kept only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal and accounting obligations.

5. Sharing

We share data only with the providers needed to run Facefinder, namely our face-search provider, our payment processor, and our hosting and infrastructure providers, each under contract. We do not sell your personal data.

6. International transfers

Some providers process data outside your country, including outside the EEA/UK. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. Your rights (EEA / UK and others)

Subject to applicable law, you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and request portability. To exercise any of these, or to remove your face from our index, see Remove my photo Imprint or contact us below.

8. Cookies

We use only the cookies and similar technologies needed to run the site and, with your consent, to measure performance and marketing. You can manage non-essential cookies through the consent banner.

9. Age

Facefinder is for users aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children.
